Block Breaker

This is a simple Breakout clone made as part of my Games Technology degree. 

Move the paddles with A and D and try to break all the blocks with the ball. Special coloured blocks will released a power up which allows you to shoot lasers for a certain amount of time. Gems will fall from the top to give you a large amount of points. If the ball falls below your paddle you lose a life. 

Uses an OpenGL game framework provided as part of my University module which provides basic window and sprite functionality.
